Igor Talmazan returns to head the Customs Service

Igor Talmazan returns to the position of head of the Customs Service. The decision was approved in today's meeting of the new Cabinet of Ministers.

"He is a well-known specialist in the legal field, having previously held a number of positions in both the public and private sectors. He is very qualified to get this position", pointed out the Minister of Finance, Veronica Sirețeanu. "We know that there is a lot of pressure on the Customs Service, there we have to increase efficiency to the maximum", added Prime Minister Dorin Recean. Igor Talmazan was head of the State Chancellery. According to his CV, in the period 2019-2021 he was the head of the Cabinet of the President of the PAS Parliamentary Faction within the Parliament, and in 2019 he was the head of the Control Body of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu. Between 2016 and 2017, he held the position of Deputy Minister, Ministry of the Environment. In 2015-2016, he was head of the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Republic of Moldova. Igor Talmazan also held the position of head of the Customs Service between September 6, 2021 and November 23, 2022. Starting on November 24, Igor Talmazan held the position of Secretary General of the Gavrilița Government.
