Authorities discover undocumented pyrotechnic products worth 140,000 lei in Buiucani

On Sunday, police officers from the Patrol and Operative Reaction Battalion (BPRO), in collaboration with employees of the National Inspectorate of Public Security, discovered over 140,000 lei worth of pyrotechnic products without any documentation of origin in the Buiucani sector of Chisinau.

According to a press release from the police, law enforcement officers recently stopped a vehicle that was illegally transporting pyrotechnic articles. The official statement confirms, "Following the control actions, a car illegally transporting pyrotechnic articles was stopped."

During the on-site investigation, it was determined that a 27-year-old man was responsible for transporting the products. The police report states, "The vehicle was detained and taken to the Buiucani Police Inspectorate, where the case was documented and the pyrotechnic products were confiscated."

A contravention report was filed against the man, and the materials gathered during the documentation process have been submitted to the court for examination in accordance with current legislation.

The police remind the public that "transporting, storing, and selling pyrotechnic products without the necessary legal documents constitutes a violation of the law and can result in contraventions or criminal liability." They urge citizens to adhere to the established legal framework.
