Maia Sandu pays a visit to the Cotroceni Palace

President Maia Sandu will pay a visit to the Cotroceni Palace today, at the invitation of the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis. The political consultations of the two presidents are part of bilateral and European cooperation, as well as Romania's clear and firm support for the Republic of Moldova and its resilience, according to a press release from the Romanian Presidency.

During the discussions, joint projects of strategic interest in the fields of energy, transport, health, education or information society will also be addressed, with an emphasis on initiatives aimed at connecting the Republic of Moldova with the European Union, with real and concrete benefits for the citizens of our country. Klaus Iohannis and Maia Sandu will also discuss Romania's support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova. Also, the two Presidents will have an exchange of views on security challenges, as well as ways to manage the economic, social and humanitarian effects of Russia's aggression in Ukraine.
