Romania has enough natural gas to help the Republic of Moldova get through this winter, the Romanian energy expert, Ionuț Purica, told the Radio Moldova reporter from Bucharest.
"It is clear that the Republic of Moldova asked for EU integration and it is our duty to help in times of crisis, when Russia uses energy, especially gas, as a weapon. We have gas, the tanks are fuller than ever, we have a deposit in the Buzău area, recently discovered, which must be put into operation as soon as possible, we have gas from the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector pipeline, gas from Azerbaijan. It is very clear that we can help Moldova", declared Ionuț Purica. We remind you that at the end of last week, Romania started exporting natural gas to the Republic of Moldova, for the first time, through the Iasi-Ungheni pipeline.
