Russian drone strikes ignite residential districts in Kyiv; civilian casualties reported

A Russian drone’s jet engine was discovered inside a top-floor apartment in Kyiv following a wave of overnight strikes on February 12.
Ukrainian police reported that debris from the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) severely damaged the building’s facade and shattered windows in the Darnytskyi district.
Bomb disposal teams were deployed to the scene to secure the area and remove the engine components.
As of 7:30 AM, authorities confirmed that two people—a man and a woman—sustained injuries during the assault.
The strikes primarily targeted Kyiv’s Left Bank. In the Dnipro district, drones crashed near residential blocks at two separate locations, damaging several vehicles.
While no fatalities were reported in the Dnipro sector, local authorities are documenting the aftermath as evidence of war crimes.
Ukrainian officials have characterized the bombings as a deliberate campaign against civilian infrastructure.
Emergency crews, police, and municipal services remain on-site to clear the wreckage and restore basic services to the affected buildings.
