Two girls, fallen under the ice in the "Valea Trandafirilor" park in Chisinau

Two girls, aged 11 and 12, fell through the ice at the lake in "Valea Trandafirilor" park in Chisinau. Lifeguards rescued the children, and they were not injured.
On March 1, around 7:00 p.m., an incident occurred involving five girls who were walking on the ice. Rescuers attempted to stop them, but the girls ignored their warnings. Unfortunately, two of the girls fell through the ice at one point.
The victims were given care on-site, provided with blankets and hot tea until their parents arrived.
The General Inspectorate for Emergencies issued repeated warnings to the public about the dangers of being on the ice of lakes and rivers. This is especially true during periods of fluctuating temperatures when the ice can become fragile and unstable.
Parents and guardians are urged to closely monitor minors and to prevent them from playing near bodies of water.
