Several Moldovans, stranded at Dusseldorf airport in Germany
Several Moldovans, as well as citizens of other countries, were stranded today at the Dusseldorf airport in Germany. According to a passenger, the Air Moldova company, which operates this flight, would not have paid certain taxes, and for this reason, the aircraft cannot take off.
"We spoke with a representative from Dusseldorf Airport, who informed us that the Air Moldova company did not pay airport taxes, which does not allow us to make the flight. Accordingly, we are stuck here and will not be able to fly until payment is made. It is important to note that there are also small children and elderly people who need medical help or people who are in transit to other countries and cannot arrive, respectively," said the passenger.
In a comment for Radio Moldova, the representatives of the airline mentioned that due to operational difficulties, the flight is being operated late. Passengers of these flights are asked to follow the notifications received at the electronic address. Air Moldova assures that it is working on remedying all the consequences.
