The Republic of Moldova will operate regular flights from and to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, according to an agreement whose signing was approved today by the Cabinet of Ministers. Thus, the necessary premises for the creation of a single market for air transport between these countries will be ensured, which will also encourage competition on the market, declared the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Lilia Dabija.
"The agreement was developed in order to establish cooperative relations in the field of air transport between the Republic of Moldova and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and will allow the creation of a single market for air transport from these states. The conclusion of the agreement will provide the possibility of operating regular and direct flights from Chisinau to and from the destinations of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, thus facilitating investments and the provision of air services without restrictions, including in the internal markets of the parties, with mutual benefits for both states ", declared Lilia Dabija.
Lilia Dabija added that our country has concluded agreements in the field of air services with 20 countries, stating that their number is constantly increasing. Recently, the signing of a similar agreement with the United States of America was also approved.
