Shahed drone crosses Moldova’s airspace, disappears from radar in Cimișlia

On the night of March 14, an aerial object, possibly a Shahed drone, violated the airspace of the Republic of Moldova. It disappeared from radar in the Cimislia region, near the town of Troitcoe. This information was communicated by the Ministry of Defense and the Border Police.
According to authorities, at around 1:30 AM, the Border Police received information from Ukraine about the overflight of a Shahed drone in the eastern region of the Republic of Moldova, heading towards Aleksandrovka (Ukraine) and Ucrainca (Republic of Moldova).
Data from the Air Operations Service of the Ministry of Defense indicated that an aerial object was detected, which later left national airspace heading from Ucrainca (Republic of Moldova) to Novoselka (Ukraine).
This information was shared with the Ukrainian authorities, but they did not confirm the sighting of the aerial object. The Ukrainian side did report that the drone appeared to have disappeared from radar over the territory of the Republic of Moldova, specifically in the Cimislia region near the town of Troitskoe.
In response to the incident, the responsible institutions conducted checks in the area where the overflight occurred, and authorities are continuing to monitor the situation.
The Ministry of Defense has stated that the airspace of the Republic of Moldova is under constant surveillance. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and to report any sightings of unidentified flying objects to the competent authorities.
