The Republic of Moldova will join the European Union sanctions against the Russian Federation
The Republic of Moldova will join several sanctions issued by the European Union against the Russian Federation. In the following days, there will be an evaluation and re-evaluation of several decisions previously taken by the authorities in our country, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu.
"Our compliance rate with European sanctions will increase significantly, increase rapidly and increase in the near future and we will soon communicate more details on this topic. At this stage, the Republic of Moldova does not comply with 10 types of sanctions, but this number will decrease in the very near future". The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, also stated that there are 38 sanctions regimes in the European Union. Of these, the Republic of Moldova aligns itself with 21 sanctions regimes.
