A Ukrainian, wanted by INTERPOL, detained at PTF Leușeni
A 36-year-old Ukrainian, wanted by the national authorities at the international level, tried to cross the border through the Leușeni border crossing point. During the documentation of the case, the border police established that the person does not have a legal entry to the territory of the Republic of Moldova. According to the Border Police, the man had an arrest and extradition warrant for committing a crime in Ukraine. A statement of findings was drawn up, after which the person was escorted to the preventive detention cell of the Chisinau Police Department, until a decision is made.
