The protest in the center of Chisinau ended without destabilization. The reaction of the authorities
All those who participate in actions aimed at overthrowing the constitutional order, changing the legitimate power in Chisinau, must be held accountable. This is the reaction of the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, to the protest organized by the People's Movement on Sunday.
*"The purpose of these actions is the overthrow of the constitutional order, the change of legitimate power from Chisinau, which would put our country at Russia's disposal, in order to stop the European integration process, but also so that Moldova can be used by Russia in its war against Ukraine . All those who participate in these actions directed against the state of the Republic of Moldova - external elements, members of political parties and criminal groups, and all those who protect them, must be held accountable," wrote Igor Grosu on his Facebook page .
Igor Grosu mentioned that the demonstration in the center of the capital took place with multiple serious violations: the organizers did not ensure that the protest was carried out within the legal framework, including objects prohibited for a peaceful protest were discovered and they tried to provoke the police.
Moreover, the spokesperson of the Executive, Daniel Vodă, announced that the Government does not comment on the protest organized by the Şor Party. "It is the democratic right of citizens to comply with the law regarding assemblies," he said. For his part, the general secretary of the Presidential Administration, Andrei Spînu, mentioned that what happened today in the center of Chisinau was not a protest, but "another failed attempt by Russia to destabilize Moldova".
Next, Andrei Spînu pointed out what the citizens have to do. "We remain calm and inform ourselves from official and credible sources. We talk and explain to all people about the risks of actions to destabilize groups of thieves (Sor and others). Everyone needs to detach themselves from these movements: transporters, drivers, business people, etc. All those who contribute to these actions are working against Moldova!" wrote Andrei Spînu on his Facebook page.
On the other hand, deputy Radu Marian welcomed the actions of the police and the entire system of law enforcement bodies in recent days.
"We thank the employees of these structures for ensuring tranquility and peace in the country. Hybrid threats aren't over here, Kremlin-backed criminal groups may still try to do stupid things, but we can have even more confidence that the internal affairs system's organs will stop it in time. They proved that they are doing their job," wrote Radu Marian on his Telegram account.
We remind you that following the protests organized on March 12, in the center of the capital, the demonstrators adopted a resolution, in which they request the current government to fully pay the citizens' bills for the three winter months. The representatives of the movement are waiting for a reply from the authorities within 24 hours. According to the resolution, if the Government does not respond to this claim by Monday, 1:00 p.m., the people reserve the right to take all necessary measures to force the country's leadership to respect the will of the people.
