Over 11,000 people employed through ANOFM since early 2026

Since the beginning of the year, over 11,000 job seekers have been hired through the territorial subdivisions of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). According to the agency's data, this number represents 11% of the 100,000 people the authorities aim to integrate into the labor market by 2030.

According to official data, 3,417 employed individuals were unemployed, representing 31.1% of the workforce. Among the unemployed, there are 4,537 women, 2,079 individuals aged 55 and older, and 190 people with disabilities.

By sector, the majority of employees, approximately 38.8%, were engaged in collective, social, and personal service activities. The agriculture sector accounted for 14.9% of the labor force, while wholesale and retail trade made up 14.2%.

In addition, the industrial sector employed 8.1% of workers, construction accounted for 5.6%, and public administration comprised 5.2%. Health and social assistance employed 3.9% of the workforce, education employed 2.7%, and transport, storage, and communications employed 2.2% of the total workforce.

We remind you that at the beginning of March, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection launched the campaign titled "We Connect People with Opportunities." This initiative aims to support the employment of over 100,000 individuals in the labor market by 2030, focusing on young people, women, and vulnerable populations.

According to the authorities, 2025 was described as a year of remarkable results, with 20,000 jobs created—20% more than in 2024.

For the current year, the objectives are even more ambitious. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, in collaboration with the territorial subdivisions of the National Employment Agency, aims to help 25,000 people in the Republic of Moldova find employment.
