The Employers' Association of Motor Transport Operators warns that several transport units will not be on the road today
The Employers' Association of Motor Transport Operators announces that several regular routes will not be operated today, 13 March, because the transport units do not have registration numbers.
According to the president of the Association's Council, Oleg Alexa, the passenger transport branch has been subjected to an unprecedented attack by the police, who have "abusively stopped" them.
At the same time, the head of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Viorel Cernăuțeanu, claims that the buses were not stopped irregularly and that the drivers with proper papers continued on their way.
Yesterday, 12 March, in a press release, the chairman of the Employers' Association of Transport Operators, Oleg Alexa, said that the police had invented various reasons for not allowing the transport units to reach their original points to pick up and transport the protesters to Chisinau. According to him, transport units that managed to pick up passengers and were travelling to Chisinau under various pretexts were stopped and retained, being forbidden to continue their journey.
