Ukraine launches first drone exports

Ukraine has begun exporting drones for the first time, benefiting the U.S. military. The U.S. is set to receive a batch of thousands of attack drones. This marks the first occasion that Ukraine has authorized the export of combat drones to a foreign military, according to Nexta.

Kiev has officially approved the delivery of 2,000 F10 attack drone systems to the United States Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian company F-Drones has received permission from the State Service for Export Control, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

This marks the first official export of combat-ready drones produced in Ukraine. Previously, discussions had only revolved around the delivery of technology, parts, or separate components.

During the war with Russia, Ukraine has emerged as a world-class expert in both the use and manufacture of drones. Additionally, Ukrainians have gained recognition for their defensive techniques against enemy drones.

As a result, the United States, affluent countries in the Middle East, and the European Union have sought assistance from Ukraine to strengthen their military capabilities with new drone systems.

Within the European Union, there have been discussions about forming a drone alliance involving several member countries. Some, like Germany, have already signed agreements with Ukraine in this area.

Romania has also engaged with 15 Ukrainian companies to produce drones, as part of a project financed with 200 million euros through SAFE.
