MEP: Moldovan oligarchs affiliated with Putin lead the hybrid attack to which the Republic of Moldova is subjected

The oligarchs from the Republic of Moldova are directing the attack against the democratic government in Chisinau from the shadows, and in this context, it is necessary to sanction those who try to destabilize the situation in the country. The statement was made by the Romanian MEP Dragoș Tudorache during a debate in the plenary of the European Parliament.

"The success of the model chosen by the Republic of Moldova and President Sandu only negates Putin's model. This is what the incessant hybrid attack to which the Republic of Moldova and its political leadership is subjected to. Moldovan oligarchs affiliated with Putin are now leading this attack, paying the mercenaries of the protests, manipulating the opinions of the vulnerable and all this to sabotage democracy and the European path for which Moldovans are making so many sacrifices. We, the European Parliament, must make sure that we continue to support Moldova and if Mr. Borrell were here, I would have asked him to add the oligarchs of Moldova, Șor, Platon and Plahotniuc to the list of European Union sanctions", declared Dragoș Tudorache.
