Maia Sandu: "Our institutions know how to do their job well and will keep citizens safe"
Attempts to destabilize the Republic of Moldova by some pro-Russian politicians will not succeed, President Maia Sandu said during a working visit on Tuesday in Râșcani district. The Moldovan president said that Moscow's position to destabilize the internal situation in the country was taken over by the pro-Russian parties in Chisinau and are trying to manipulate the citizens through disinformation actions.
"There are attempts to destabilize the situation by some corrupt groups, we will continue to ensure tranquility and peace in our society, even if there are risks. Our institutions know how to do their job well and will keep citizens safe. There is no reason to worry that the war will reach us, as long as Ukraine keeps the Russian army away from the borders of the Republic of Moldova", said Maia Sandu.
We remind you that recently, Moscow launched more and more accusations against the authorities in Chisinau, aimed at creating chaos and destabilization in society. Recently, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, declared that the current government is acting against its own people, at the suggestion of the West. The Chisinau authorities strongly condemn Moscow's accusations and state that the government has a firm mandate from the citizens to maintain peace, security and democracy in the Republic of Moldova.
