Ukraine and the EU extend the agreement for Ukrainian drivers to travel in the EU without a transport permit

Ukraine and the European Union agreed to extend for another year the agreement that allows Ukrainian drivers to travel in the EU without a transport permit and without an international driver's license, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced on its Facebook page.

Thus, the Agreement on the liberalization of freight transport was extended until June 30, 2024.

We remind you that the document, signed in June 2022, eliminated the need for Ukrainian carriers to obtain permits for bilateral and transit traffic to EU states. Ukraine and the EU have also exempted holders of driving licenses issued by one of the parties from the requirement to hold an international driving licence.

The agreement to extend the agreement was agreed at the first meeting of the Joint Committee on the EU-Ukraine Road Freight Agreement.
