Japan will finance two projects in energy, food and community security of the Republic of Moldova
Two projects worth about 7 million and 1.5 million dollars, respectively, aimed at the energy, food and community security of the Republic of Moldova, as well as Ukrainian refugees, were launched by the Government with the support of Japan.
According to Prime Minister Dorin Recean, approximately 1,200 refugees and 40,000 Moldovan citizens will benefit from this financial aid, and about 85,000 households will be able to increase their energy security.
"We are talking about two projects financed by the Government of Japan and implemented together with the United Nations Development Program. The first refers to energy, food and community security in Moldova. Approximately 85,000 households in the Republic of Moldova will be able to increase their energy security through investments in renewable energy, biomass, biofuels. These projects will be developed together with households and together with small farmers and will target the implementation of the farmers' register", said Dorin Recean.
We remind that the two projects are part of the 27 million dollar package announced by the Government of Japan last December. The money was provided by the authorities in Tokyo for the Moldovan communities that hosted Ukrainian refugees.
