In 2022, the number of electric and hybrid cars registered in the Republic of Moldova by individuals doubled compared to 2021, the Agency for Energy Efficiency announced.

According to the type of technology used, approximately 2,000 cars registered in the last 5 years are electric, and over 25,000 are hybrid. Of the total number of electric and hybrid cars registered in the country, most are owned by individuals.
