The year 2023 will be dedicated to the process of Europeanization of the country, and justice reform is a priority, said the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, during the meeting with the Parliament Speaker of Latvia, Edvards Smiltēns, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Moldova.
With reference to the internal situation in the Republic of Moldova and the security crisis caused by the war of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, Igor Grosu declared that the attempts of some political parties influenced by Moscow to produce destabilization will not succeed, because the state institutions are responsible and ensure the security of the citizens .
The officials also spoke about our parliamentary agenda, but also about the process of reforming and modernizing the Republic of Moldova.
Edvards Smiltēns assured that Latvia will continue to support our European path, noting that the Republic of Moldova together with Ukraine must be part of the great European family.
