Government requests the extension of the state of emergency by 60 days, starting from April 5
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the extension of the state of emergency by 60 days, starting on April 5, and will ask Parliament to maintain the state of emergency.
The draft decision was presented by the Minister of the Interior, Ana Revenco, who mentioned that the state of emergency must be extended in relation to the risks associated with the war in Ukraine, the external risks, manifested by the intensification of the hybrid war, risks in justice field, etc.
We remind you that the state of emergency in the Republic of Moldova was established on February 24, 2022, with the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. Later, it was extended several times. Last time, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova declared a state of emergency throughout the country, for a period of 60 days, starting on February 4.
