Ukrainian Defense Minister: "The German Leopard tanks, which started arriving in Ukraine, would be used in April or May"
The Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Oleksii Reznikov, suggested on Wednesday that Ukraine's offensive, which would also use the received Western tanks, could begin in April or May, reports Hotnews.ro.
In an interview with Estonian radio and television, Reznikov said that German Leopard tanks, which started arriving in Ukraine, will be part of the "counteroffensive campaign, in accordance with the decision of our General Staff."
According to him, the leadership of the Ukrainian army is planning this counteroffensive in several directions.
"And it will depend on the moment, on the best moment," said Oleksii Reznikov. "It will depend on the weather conditions. In spring we have a very wet ground. I think we will see them, the tanks, in these two months. I mean April and May," Reznikov said.
