Minister of Labor says how many people have benefited from compensation during the cold months of the year
About 800 thousand families benefited from compensation in the cold season of the year. Of the total number, approximately 80 percent were placed in the very high degree of vulnerability, claims the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu, on a show from Moldova 1 TV. The official said that the system requires improvements, because it was developed in limited terms and bacame functional in the context of the state of emergency at the national level.
"This year we are trying to develop and to put into operation a compensation system that targets people and families who have the lowest incomes. Most of these adjustments were made through the Extraordinary Situations Commission.
The state of emergency allowed us to intervene much more promptly to adjust. It was a new system, it was developed in two, three months. This speaks to the utility of this state of emergency."
We remind you that the state of emergency was instituted starting last February, with the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. Later, it was extended several times, to allow the Government to manage the energy crisis and to monitor the security situation in the country.
