Doctors from the capital were awarded at the Excellence in Healthcare Gala
Medical staff from Chisinau were awarded at the Excellence in Health Gala of the Chisinau municipality. The head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance in Chisinau, Boris Gîlca, said during the event that the solutions identified during the pandemic were among the best in the region. He referred to the creation of the sorting center at Moldexpo, the municipal vaccination center, but also the mobile immunization points.
"We have reached the highest anti-covid vaccination rate in the region, namely among medical personnel and teachers. The Covid-19 Center at Moldexpo, the best international practice of the Republic of Moldova, was appreciated by the experts of the World Health Organization, other donors and development partners, with 450 beds for patients with Covid from the whole country, but 36 beds for intensive care at the Covid-19 Center. We have quadrupled the number of beds in intensive care". Boris Gîlca also stated that the municipal authorities propose that this event become an annual tradition.
We remind that the event also took place in the context of the 75th anniversary of the World Health Organization.
