Elections in ATU Gagauzia: CEC has accredited several international observers

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has accredited 19 international observers to monitor the gubernatorial elections and by-elections to the People's Assembly of ATU Gagauzia on 30 April 2023.

CEC members approved decisions on the accreditation of one international observer from the Embassy of Hungary to the Republic of Moldova, 13 international observers from the Embassy of the United States of America, 4 international observers from the Embassy of Germany and one international observer from the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan.

The CEC has previously accredited 34 international observers.

The deadline for applications for accreditation as observers is tomorrow, 22 April.

According to the Central Election Commission of Gagauzia, there are eight candidates in the race for governor of the region. They are Nicolai Dudoglo, Grigorii Uzun, Mihail Formuzal, Victor Petrov, Dumitru Croitor, Serghei Cernev, Evghenia Guțul and Serghei Cimpoieș.
