On Europe Day, the Government invites citizens to visit the Botanical Garden where several activities will take place
Tomorrow is Europe Day, which marks the signing of the 'Schuman Declaration' on 9 May 1950. It was an ambitious plan to secure long-term peace in post-war Europe, which marked the beginning of what is now the European Union.
In the Republic of Moldova, Europe Day 2023 will be marked by a series of events under the banner "EU-Moldova: Together stronger". On this occasion, the Government invites citizens to visit the Botanical Garden in the capital tomorrow, where several activities will take place, including for children.
"The Government of the Republic of Moldova organizes on May 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the Botanical Garden, the children's program "Celebrating Europe Together". The government invites citizens to visit the Botanical Garden in the capital as part of an event for children, with an exhibition of craftspeople, an artistic program by the "Credo Military Choir", workshops and activities for children, an exhibition of intervention and forensic techniques, a performance of the canine team. Entrance to the territory of the Botanical Garden is free, and the first 3000 visitors will receive free ice cream", said the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă.
Europe Day activities will take place throughout May and will highlight the values and culture of the European Union, as well as the assistance provided by the EU and its member states for the benefit of our country's citizens.
This year, the traditional European Town will be open to the public from Chisinau and Leova. In the capital, the European City will be organized on May 13, in the Great National Assembly Square, and in Leova, on May 20.
