There is cohesion in Moldovan society regarding the country's European integration, experts say

The messages conveyed yesterday at the "European Moldova" Assembly by President Maia Sandu, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and personalities from various fields stressed that there is cohesion in Moldovan society regarding the country's European integration, experts say.

In their opinion, citizens are aware that Moldova's future lies only in the European Union.

The high attendance at the European Assembly of Moldova argues that more and more citizens are aware of the benefits of joining the European Union, Victor Juc, director of the Institute for Political, Legal and Sociological Research, told Radio Moldova. In his opinion, the CIS, including the Russian Federation, is no longer attractive.

"Four bills that contributed to keeping Moldova in the grip of the Russian Federation's geopolitical interests are practically losing their value. The Republic of Moldova has shown that it can identify other sources of natural gas supply, with labor migrants who had to work or settled there took citizens of the Russian Federation and lose the connection with the historical homeland, and others leave elsewhere only through European proximity wages and pensions are ensured," Victor Juc said.

The expert from Bucharest, Angela Gramada, believes that the messages conveyed yesterday in Chisinau argue that ethnic or social groups can easily fit into the European integration process.

"The President gave a good speech, a pro-European speech, a speech that would bring cohesion to the idea of European integration of the Republic of Moldova. I also liked the guests, the way they emphasised the European identity of the Republic of Moldova, the aspirations and values that we are trying to embed and at the same time implement in the Republic of Moldova", said Angela Gramada.

Angela Gramada added that all seven points of the resolution adopted yesterday are very important. If they are taken into account, our country's accession to the European Union could be achieved faster.

Yesterday, the "European Moldova" Assembly, which took place in Chisinau, was attended by about 80 thousand citizens.
