Spanish ambassador in Bucharest: EU states are aware of the political support that Romania has in relation to the Republic of Moldova

The member states of the European Union are aware of the political support that Romania has in relation to the Republic of Moldova, the Spanish ambassador in Bucharest, José Antonio Hernández Pérez-Solórzano, told the media from Romania. According to the Spanish diplomat, thanks to Romania's support, our country has already fulfilled three conditions out of the nine established by the European Commission.

"Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova have already expressed their will to join the European Union. We are waiting until October, to see the Commission's reports and to manage this subject accordingly", said the Spanish ambassador in Bucharest.

On June 23, it turned a year since the Republic of Moldova, together with Ukraine, got the unanimous agreement of the member states to become a candidate country for European accession. We remind you that, starting July 1, Spain took over the Rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union from Sweden.
