Diaspora Congress discusses services, projects, and involvement
More than 300 people attended the 10th edition of the Diaspora Congress in Chisinau, Moldova. The event was organised by the Government of Moldova through the Diaspora Relations Office in cooperation with central public institutions and diaspora associations.
The topics discussed at the congress included the services offered by the Government to citizens of the diaspora, the development of projects, and the involvement of the diaspora in the civic life of the Republic of Moldova.
State Secretary Adrian Băluțel said that the congress was an opportunity to discuss the problems faced by the diaspora and to find solutions. He also said that the diaspora can contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova through the 41 projects implemented through the DAR programme.
The congress was also attended by representatives from the diaspora who have opened businesses in Moldova. They shared their experiences and discussed the challenges and opportunities of doing business in the country.
The Diaspora Congress is held every two years.
