Maia Sandu announces the first National Forum of Teachers
President Maia Sandu announced today that the first edition of the National Forum of Teachers will take place on October 7. The event will be attended by teachers from all over the country, who will discuss the current situation in the education system.
Sandu stressed the need to increase the prestige of the teaching profession in order to provide students with quality education.
"I have launched the initiative to hold an annual communication platform for teachers from all over the country, together with the Ministry of Education and Research and with the support of our country's development partners. I invite you with pleasure to participate in the first edition of the Forum. We will discuss opportunities and challenges, good practices from Moldova and around the world, and how we can apply them in our schools, so that every child in Moldova can develop their potential and talents," Sandu said.
The event is organised at the initiative of the Presidency and the Ministry of Education, with the support of development partners. On October 30, at the National Arena, another event dedicated to teachers will take place, namely the Pedagogue of the Year ceremony, at which the best representatives of the profession will be awarded.
