Germany is preparing a new support package for Ukraine worth 1.4 billion euros
Germany is preparing a winter package for Ukraine, worth 1.4 billion euros, as the Russian Federation's plans to continue bombing the country's energy infrastructure are evident, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said. According to the official, the package includes, among other things, air defense systems, reports Ukrinform.
"Civil and military aid from Germany since the beginning of the war has reached 24 billion euros," Scholz informed and recalled that based on this indicator, Germany is the second partner supporting Ukraine after the USA.
Scholz pointed that Ukraine was able to ensure the functioning of the economy despite the war started by the Russian Federation in February 2022.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Germany has given Ukraine nearly 24 billion euros in aid, Olaf Scholz said at the opening of the 6th German-Ukrainian Economic Forum in Berlin.
