MAEIE: Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip will be evacuated today through the Rafah crossing
The Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip, who requested to return to the Republic of Moldova, will be evacuated today, through the Rafah crossing point, announces the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE). According to quoted sources, MAEIE has received approval from the Israeli and Egyptian authorities regarding the evacuation of Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip.
In this sense, the embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel-Aviv informed the citizens of the Republic of Moldova about the necessary procedures, and they will be evacuated to Egypt today, respecting the security requirements.
The consular officer seconded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration is at the Rafah crossing point, where he will welcome the evacuated citizens and will provide the necessary consular assistance.
Previously, the MAEIE informed that 50 Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip requested assistance, including evacuation, out of the about 100-120 citizens registered in this area.
