The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine signed a protocol that will allow the organization of joint control points at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, in a post on his Facebook page.
Also, the PM said that the decision of the European Council taken on December 14, regarding the opening of accession negotiations for the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to the EU, is a common victory for both states.
"Moldova and Ukraine have started accession negotiations to the European Union. It is a shared victory and our commitment is to progress together on the path of EU integration. Today's signing of the protocols regarding the organization of joint control points at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing is an essential step towards joining the EU", said Dorin Recean, during a joint video conference with representatives from Ukraine.
