Three people, investigated after trying to cross the state border with fake documents
Three people are being investigated after border guards discovered they were in possession of fake documents.
In one case, a 30-year-old man with dual citizenship (MDA/RO) presented a Romanian identity card that did not belong to him at the border control. Following checks, the border police officers at the Chisinau International Airport determined that the document contained signs of forgery. The young man was unable to continue his trip to Paris.
Also at Chisinau International Airport, among the passengers arriving from Bucharest, a citizen of the Republic of Guinea presented himself. During the document control, the foreigner also presented an electronic visa, issued by the Moldovan authorities in his name. The border police established that this was fake, and the young man was refused entry to the Republic of Moldova.
Another case was recorded at the Vulcăneşti crossing point, on the way out of the Republic of Moldova, where a Bulgarian citizen drove a car. Among the documents, the man presented a Russian driver's license. From the first investigations, the border police noticed that the document is fake. At the hearings, the foreigner communicated that he got the permit through legal means in 2021, when he was in Russia. The document was picked up and the man continued his journey as a passenger.
