President of Romania Klaus Iohannis convenes the Supreme Council of Defense
The President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, called the meeting of the Supreme Council of Defense of the country (CSAT), which will take place on February 21, starting at 1:00 p.m., at the Cotroceni Palace, the Romanian Presidential Administration informed.
According to the cited source, the agenda of the Council meeting includes topics related to: developments regarding the security situation in the Black Sea region in the context of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and implications for Romania; progress in defense planning, particularly in the development of endowment programs and manning efforts, as well as in staff retention.
Also on the agenda of the CSAT meeting is a report on the activity carried out by the Cyber Security Operative Council in 2023 and the report of the Supreme Defense Council on the activity carried out last year.
"During the CSAT meeting, other topical issues in the field of national security will be analyzed," the Presidential Administration informed.
