Republic of Moldova’s accession to the EU, discussed by Cristina Gherasimov and her Ukrainian counterpart, Olha Stefanishyn
The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine will maintain their bilateral political dialogue and will cooperate more closely in the process of joining the European Union. The statement was made by the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Ghersimov, during a phone conversation with her Ukrainian counterpart, Olha Stefanishyn.
During the dialogue, the officials also discussed the European aspirations of the two states.
"Belonging to the great family of the European Union is the most important goal we have to achieve, and we will continue to implement the reform agenda, in order to modernize the country and get closer to European standards," said Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov.
We remind you that on December 14, 2023, the European Council decided to open EU accession negotiations with Moldova and Ukraine.
