Luminița Odobescu: Russia uses hybrid attacks against the Republic of Moldova
Russia wants to use the Republic of Moldova in its narratives and uses hybrid attacks based on disinformation, fake news, manipulation, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs from Romania, Luminița Odobescu, on TVR International.
Also, the head of diplomacy from Bucharest said that Romania supports the Republic of Moldova to increase its resilience and follow its European path.
"Another tool used by Russia against us, all of us, primarily against vulnerable partners, I refer to the Republic of Moldova, which is affected by the consequences of the war in Ukraine in several areas, is also one of the goals pursued by Russia to create emotions, especially at a time when we are preparing for elections both in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, but in fact in the entire European Union, and countering the communication of disinformation and strategic communication on the other hand are the priority objectives for any Government", said Luminita Odobescu.
The Romanian Foreign Minister said that there are several types of daily challenges from Russia, which must be identified and rejected quickly. Luminița Odobescu also referred to the situation in the transnistrian region, where help was requested from Russia, a week ago. According to her, this is disinformation that does not serve democratic interests and must be rejected.
