Russian Missiles Strike Odessa: Three Injured, Air Defences Engaged
Russian forces launched two guided missiles at Odessa on March 29, resulting in injuries to three individuals, according to Oleg Kiper, the governor of the Odessa region, as reported by Ukrainian media outlets.
Although both missiles were intercepted by Ukrainian air defence systems, debris descended upon several residential areas within the city.
Kiper stated that three individuals, including minors aged 15 and 10, sustained injuries from the falling debris and have since been admitted to the hospital. He reassured the public that their injuries are minor and their lives are not in jeopardy, as conveyed through his Telegram channel.
The full extent of the attack's repercussions remains uncertain.
Earlier today, Russia initiated a large-scale offensive against Ukraine, causing damage to the energy infrastructure and resulting in injuries to six individuals in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Over the past month, the Russian military has sporadically targeted the Odessa region, situated less than 200 kilometres from the Republic of Moldova. The most significant bombardment occurred mid-month, claiming the lives of 16 individuals and injuring 73 others in a Russian missile onslaught.
