President of Moldova Celebrates International Children's Day, Emphasises Support for Childhood
On the occasion of International Children's Day, the President of the Republic of Moldova conveyed a message of congratulations.
In her address, the head of state encouraged parents to support their children's aspirations, foster tolerance, and nurture their growth with care.
"Happy birthday to all the children! Children require numerous things from us, but above all, they need one essential element - our unwavering presence by their side. Let us meet their basic needs, serve as a safety net for them to fall back on when they stumble, shield their backs, nurture their creative ideas, and facilitate their exploration of the world. Let us inspire them to blossom, take responsibility for their actions, embrace tolerance, and remain ever open to learning. And much more," emphasised Maia Sandu.
Furthermore, the President acknowledged that the role of being a parent is the most intricate and rewarding of all "professions." She extended a heartfelt message to parents, expressing her wish for them to have ample time to spend with their children, engage in playful activities, explore together, and simply be there, beside them.
"I was delighted to encounter today, on Children's Day, numerous cheerful children, rejoicing in the arrival of summer, eager to engage in play, and curious to explore their surroundings. May joy, freedom, and curiosity accompany them throughout the summer vacation and beyond!" stated the head of state.
The President actively participated today in the event "Celebrating Childhood Together" held at the Botanical Garden, organised by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, as well as in the activities hosted by the Republican Center for Children and Youth "ARTICO" and the Ministry of Education and Research at the Public Garden of Chisinau.
