Moldova's Path to EU: Sandu's Ambitious Reforms Recognized
The Vice President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, met today with the head of state, Maia Sandu, at the European Political Community Summit.
The European official congratulated our president for the ambitious reforms that led to the opening of accession negotiations with the community bloc.
Josep Borrell wrote on social media that through the Partnership for Security and Defense, the European Union will continue to support Moldova's resistance to the impact of Russia's war and its increasingly intense hybrid actions.

President Maia Sandu is participating today in the European Political Community Summit at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, London, United Kingdom. About 50 leaders of the European community states are present at the event.
They will discuss the problems affecting the European continent.
Additionally, there will be bilateral meetings and discussions in smaller groups of leaders from various countries. According to the agenda, topics of security, issues caused by the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine, energy security, and migration will be addressed.
In June 2023, a similar summit took place in Bulboaca, Republic of Moldova. After the European Political Community meeting, President Maia Sandu will head to Dublin, Ireland, where she will also meet with diaspora representatives. Later, the head of state will make a working visit to France.
