Moldovans, urged to avoid travelling to Iran amid escalating tension in the region
Citizens of the Republic of Moldova are urged by the authorities to avoid any trip to Iran, in connection with the increased security risks in the region. Moldovans who are on the territory of this country can leave it either by air or by land, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
Moldovans who are in Iran and want to leave the country can do so through customs with Turkey and Armenia, says the MFA. According to the cited source, the land border between Iran and Azerbaijan remains closed.
Citizens of our country who are on the territory of Iran and face an emergency, are urged to contact the emergency line of the Consular Section of the Embassy, at the phone number +994 50 228 51 35.
