Promo-LEX: Cases of organized transportation of voters reported
By 09:00, the observers of the Promo-LEX Association recorded 141 incidents in the electoral process, of which 109 were checked and confirmed, informed the head of the mission, Nicolae Panfil.
According to observers, out of a total of 614 polling stations monitored at opening, 62 were opened a little earlier or after 7:00 am. Also, in at least 87 polling stations, the solemnity of the voting process was not ensured by singing the anthem and displaying the state flag. The majority of Promo-LEX observers assessed the performance of staff of polling stations in the opening process as good and very good.
According to Promo-LEX representatives, cases of organized transport of voters were reported.
"There is an increased activity in this regard in Istanbul. At around 7:50 a vehicle was observed within 100 meters, the vehicle moved away from the polling station as soon as the citizens got off. There is information that there are many similar cases and we will be very careful throughout the day on the organized transportation of voters," announced Panfil.
Promo-LEX also announces that among the reported incidents are the presence of electoral advertising materials within the range of polling stations; campaigning or negative PR in the 100 m perimeter and/or within the polling station to determine the voters' option; the unjustified presence of unauthorized persons in the premises and near the polling station.
Also, observers report that there is a considerable increase in voting requests at home, upon the opening of polling stations. According to the data recorded in the second round, 28,270 applications were submitted, compared to 19,944 in the first round, which represents a significant increase.
