Minute of silence for the victims of the war in Ukraine. Grosu: "It's been a thousand days since our Ukrainian friends have faced a tragedy"
At today's meeting, deputies observed a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the war in Ukraine, which was instigated by the Russian Federation. This proposal was put forth by the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, in light of the upcoming one thousandth day since the onset of the Russian invasion in the neighboring country.
"On November 19, it will be one thousand days since our Ukrainian neighbors have been enduring a tragedy. It's been a thousand days since the Russian Federation began a barbaric war in Ukraine. During this time, millions of people have lived in fear of bombs and sirens. Millions of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes, and tragically, tens of thousands have been killed or severely injured," said the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.
The Parliament Speaker also recalled the heartbreaking incident in Kryvyi Rih, where a mother and her three children were killed by a rocket on November 11. "These are crimes, and such atrocities occur every day in Ukraine," said Igor Grosu.
Additionally, Igor Grosu reiterated that since the beginning of the invasion, the Republic of Moldova has condemned the war and continues to stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
