Ukraine imports electricity from five countries, including the Republic of Moldova, on Sunday
Ukraine is importing electricity from five countries, including Moldova, as of Sunday. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced that the total volume of electricity imports reached 8,500 MWh, with a capacity of 711 MW.
The Ministry highlighted that intervention teams are actively working to restore damage caused by Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. On Saturday alone, more than 39,350 consumers were reconnected to electricity.
Officials from the Ministry also showed that, for the time being, no disconnections are planned for enterprises with critical infrastructure or for those that import more than 80% of their electricity needs, by government regulations.
We remind you that on November 17, Russia launched an attack on Ukrainian electricity generation and transmission facilities across various regions. Consequently, the transmission system operator is implementing temporary power outages to manage the network effectively.
