Aleksandr Lukashenko invites Joe Biden to Minsk to end the war in Ukraine

Aleksandr Lukashenko invited US President Joe Biden to Minsk to discuss "ending" the war in Ukraine. The Minsk leader said that if Joe Biden accepts, Vladimir Putin will also arrive in Belarus for talks, according to the Belarusian state news agency.

In a meeting with representatives of the foreign media and from his country, Aleksandr Lukashenko said that the Belarusian side is ready to receive the US president in Minsk for a "serious discussion to end the war", according to the Belarusian news agency state, quoted by Agerpres.

Energocom announced the average purchase price of electricity in the first 10 days of 2025

In the first 10 days of the year, a total of about 137 thousand MWh was purchased, at the weighted average price of 110.83 euros/MWh. This price is double the supply price of the Cuciurgan Power Plant (66 USD/MWh). According to Energocom, about 57.5% of the total quantity of energy was purchased based on bilateral contracts with companies in Romania and on OPCOM.
