The Republic of Moldova will grant Turkey humanitarian aid worth over 8 million lei
The government of the Republic of Moldova will grant Turkey humanitarian aid worth over 8 million lei. The material goods will be offered to the population that suffered as a result of the natural calamities caused by the earthquakes of February 6-7.
A draft decision in this regard was developed by the Ministry of the Interior and proposed for public consultation.
According to the UNDP, the material damage caused by the devastating earthquake in Turkey, on February 6, exceeds 100 billion dollars. The estimated amount includes only the damage caused on the territory of Turkey, without taking into account the destruction in Syria.
We remind you that an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale occurred on February 6 in Turkey. It was followed by another earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 on the Richter scale, but also by a series of aftershocks felt in neighboring Syria and other countries.
