Estonia agreement to acquire over 100 military vehicles for Moldova

Moldova's National Army will receive more than 100 state-of-the-art military vehicles. Canadian company Roshel will supply the vehicles through a nonrefundable EU grant worth more than €50 million.

On June 30, Moldova's Ministry of Defense and the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments signed a framework agreement for the acquisition.
Under the agreement, the vehicles will be delivered by May 2027.
During a meeting with representatives of the Canadian company, Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi thanked them for their cooperation and highlighted the European Union's support in strengthening Moldova's defense capabilities.
The project forms part of the 2022 to 2025 assistance package to improve the National Army's mobility and transport capabilities. The European Union funds the programme through the European Peace Facility, or EPF.
Since 2022, the European Union has provided €197 million through the EPF to support the modernization of Moldova's National Army.
All equipment supplied under this mechanism is nonlethal. The programme aims to strengthen national resilience, modernize logistics, and improve airspace protection while respecting Moldova's constitutional neutrality.
