The "Career Fair" is held in Chisinau. What employers offer
More than 1,500 jobs can be found at the "Career Fair" taking place today and tomorrow at the National Palace "Nicolae Sulac" in Chisinau. The 30 companies participating in the fair offer jobs in the fields of finance and banking, IT, foreign languages and others. Salaries offered by employers range from 6,000 lei to 2,000 euros.
At the career fair, participants have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with employers and check out the job offers they have in the country or abroad. Companies are also looking for good communication specialists, financial consultants, engineers, programmers, mechanics, salespeople, drivers, commercial workers, cooks and translators. One of the organisers of the Career Fair, Maria Petruța, told our radio station that this year about 3,000 people looking for a job are expected at the Fair.
"About 30 companies from various fields of activity will participate in this edition, offering around 1,500 jobs. The previous edition was attended by about 3,000 people and we expect the same number to participate in this edition".
Employers say they could offer a wide range of salaries. So IT specialists with experience could get around €2,000 a month, mobile phone operators who know French - 9,000 lei, survey operators - 12,000 lei, and future chefs could earn 6,000 lei a month.
"There are jobs for people with experience, even without experience. The highest salary is sales or in IT. It can go from 1,000 euros for the first probationary periods, up to 2,000 half, three. It all depends on sales." "We need cooks and cashiers. The amount - from five and a half thousand upwards. At one and two years the salaries are raised". "The important thing is to know languages. We are now looking more for French, advanced level of excel, because we need calculations. We also need accounting. A junior could start at 9,000-10,000 lei. Salaries here are already rising." "A French speaker, who would be ready to come to our company and talk on the phone with our potential clients in France, would have a paid job."
Visitors to the fair told us that the salaries on offer are a bit low. While some of them would be ready to work for a salary of 10 thousand lei, others hope to find a job for which they would be paid 25 thousand lei.

The Career Fair will take place tomorrow at the National Palace "Nicolae Sulac" from 10:00 to 17:00.
