Moldovan-Lithuanian collaboration in the military field, discussed by Anatolie Nosatîi with Ambassador Tadas Valionis
The Moldovan-Lithuanian collaboration achieved with the help of the programs implemented in the National Army with the support of the Lithuanian Government, as well as the transformation of the defense institution according to democratic standards, were the topics discussed by the Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi, with the Lithuanian ambassador in Chisinau, Tadas Valionis. The new military attaché, colonel Žilvinas Žiukas, was also present at the official meeting.
The Minister of Defense mentioned that Lithuania is a reliable partner of the Republic of Moldova, including in the military field.
"Anatolie Nosatîi thanked for the assistance of the Ministry of National Defense of Lithuania in the implementation of the project aimed at the development of the corps of professional sergeants and for the training of the military and civilian personnel of the National Army at the relevant institutions in Lithuania.
Also, our official mentioned the support of the Lithuanian side in the international arena, especially in the EU accession process, within the framework of the EU — European Peace Facility (EPF) and in the European Union peacekeeping missions in which the National Army soldiers participate", reads a press release of the ministry.
At the same time, the officials discussed the collaboration with international partners, the strengthening of the cooperation dialogue with NATO and the EU, Lithuania's expertise in the field of strategic communication, as well as the acceleration of the implementation of the modernization plan of the National Army according to international standards.
